Today I put my first editable PDF online for you Nesties. Happy dance. I know it's not a big deal to some of you but it feels like a big deal to me. Other Nesties have been asking me about editable (means you can write your own text in certain places) PDFs. I just didn't know exactly how to do them but now I've figured it out. I've been working on several (Hundred?) projects and many will include the editable feature from here on out. This one just has a few check boxes and one place for writing but that's all this needed. Now on to what 'this' is.

The Nested Family - Collected Bits to Build Unity. This series will include 40ish tips on how to build family unity. Today is only the first tip, COMMITMENT, but it's pretty necessary. Maybe you might want to discuss the level of commitment needed for an eternal family for FHE tonight. Read it below or you can get our gift download for later reading here.

Here's the third page that gives you space to write your Personal Commitment Pledge. Then you can put it on your Ring Thing for handy referencing. (Download our Nestie gift to you here.)

This is part of my RESET One Word Resolution which leads to taking my family COMMITMENT to the next level.

Does family unity come easy to you?
Happy FHE tonight.

We're visual and graphic here at LDS NEST. And we share. Here are some graphics to use with YW training - YW Presidencies, Class Presidencies, Stake Leaders - how ever it works for you. It contains a summary of information found in the Church Handbook. Use it, along with the Handbook, to go over the Church's guidelines and then keep it for a refresher.

Come, Follow Me handouts for October-How can I be more Christlike in my service to others? Free download from LDS Nest #lds #ldsyw #ywidea #ldsteaching
Here are some handouts for Come, Follow Me this October; "How can I be more Christlike in my service to Others?" You can download the handouts here or click on the images and "save as". I switched things up this time and the handouts are 4x5 instead of 4x6. This way you can fit 4 on a page without re-sizing the image! Hope this helps!

These are 3x2 "love note" cards for the girls. Print on cardstock and have your girls take a few for the week to write notes of encouragement and love on the back. Encourage them to then give them to those that could use a kind word. Great way to apply the lesson! Again, the download link is here. Please tweet, pin, or share these on Facebook!

Between YW's Camp and the 4th Year Adventure things are a little behind. But, nice things are happening behind the blog. This is one.
LDS NEST Temple Name Bracelet Gift
Saw family this weekend at a baptism. Our Geri (mother, grandmother, all around nice gal) made us these Temple Name Bracelets. Used for keeping track of the proxy names in a temple session. She made them using stretchy cord, beads, clips, and a little super glue on the knot. It's a great gift idea and I'm glad I was lucky enough to get one.

I did a post last year around this time on my personal site, Shannon's Studio, but thought I'd share it here. It's a Young Women's Personal Progress Divine Nature Value Experience #3. Wow, that was a mouth full. This value experience doesn't have to be done on Father's Day, but it might be a nice incentive. Read more about it HERE.
